About the Role

The Preservationist is responsible for preservation, packing, labeling, receipt, accountability, issuing, and shipping of equipment, along with related clerical duties. The role may involve using automated systems and specialized equipment, and includes additional manual tasks as directed. • Perform preservation, packing, labeling, and shipping of equipment, including related clerical tasks. • Utilize automated systems and specialized equipment for packaging operations. • Follow detailed processing instructions, plan work sequences, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and schedule standards. • Maintain accountability records and manage receipt, issuance, and shipment documentation. • Use preservatives to protect metal and materials from corrosion and deterioration. • Operate motorized material‑handling equipment and lift up to 50 lb.

What You Bring

Candidates must be high‑school graduates (or equivalent) with at least five years of related experience and must have completed the Enlisted Warehouseman Basic Course and Packaging Technology/Administration courses, or their equivalents. They need working knowledge of state, federal, and DoD regulations, preservation methods, and the ability to operate motorized material‑handling equipment, lift 50 lb, hold a valid driver’s license, and possess U.S. citizenship with a CAC. • Complete high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least five years of relevant experience. • Finish Enlisted Warehouseman Basic Course and Packaging Technology/Administration courses (or equivalents). • Apply knowledge of federal, state, and DoD regulations governing material transportation. • Hold a valid state driver’s license and be a U.S. citizen eligible for a CAC.
