About the Role
The basic function of the role is to verify and maintain accurate records on incoming shipments, prepare items for assembly, and unload, store and issue material as needed. • Compare shipment information to bills of lading, invoices, orders, etc. • Identify and label incoming freight using packing slips and purchase orders. • Enter receipts, issues and other transactions into MAPICS. • Retrieve item and purchase order information such as balance on hand and dock dates. • Record material shortages in MAPICS shortage report. • Communicate with buyers, supervisors and suppliers about shortages or damaged shipments. • Label material allocated to released units accurately. • Organize material considering temperature, humidity, weight, turnover and space constraints. • Unpack and inspect shipments, note damage on BOL, photograph, and notify Quality. • Operate forklift, bridge crane or hand truck to move shipments. • Perform daily cycle counts to verify reorder and balance accuracy. • Fill orders (Kanban) or issue supplies from stock, maintaining records. • Process RMA requests. • Report work‑related injuries and near misses to supervision. • Correct or report unsafe conditions observed in the plant.

What You Bring
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read, write and present simple instructions and correspondence. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively one‑on‑one or in small groups with customers, clients and coworkers. Physical demands include regular standing, walking, reaching, and handling items up to 10 lb, with occasional lifting of up to 100 lb, as well as the need for adequate vision (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception). • Wear required PPE and follow safety/environmental rules.
