About the Role
• Coordinate electrical scope work on solar site projects. • Partner with Electrical Superintendent on material sizing, equipment selection, and site utilization planning. • Develop and update project schedules, including 3‑week look‑ahead plans. • Ensure crews have required resources and support. • Supervise quality control for both self‑performed and subcontracted electrical work. • Act as liaison between field engineers, contractors, and craft workers to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. • Lead, coach, mentor, and train the electrical team and crafts. • Foster an inclusive, collaborative team environment. • Monitor progress and performance of crafts, forepersons, and subcontractors. • Implement Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program on site. • Lead subcontractors and suppliers, managing budget recommendations. • Conduct project buyout and coordinate subcontractor meetings. • Perform on‑site Project Manager duties for small‑scope projects. • Execute a quality plan meeting customer performance criteria in design and construction.

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking an experienced Assistant Electrical Superintendent for its Power Delivery Services Group. The role requires interacting with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment while remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and professional. The individual will coordinate and supervise electricians and crews on solar project sites. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience, along with at least five years of construction supervision on medium‑ and high‑voltage projects. Strong teamwork, communication, problem‑solving, leadership, and detail‑orientation are essential, as is a basic understanding of construction law and business practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related project tools, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel up to 100% are required. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience. • Minimum five years of construction/supervision experience with medium‑ and high‑voltage projects. • Experience with self‑perform projects. • Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem‑solving, and leadership abilities. • Detail‑oriented with capacity to manage multiple project tasks. • Basic understanding of construction law and business practices. • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management, and web applications. • Professional attitude with strong customer service skills and ability to interpret Mortenson policies. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.

The position offers a base salary ranging from $102,900 to $154,400, with higher ranges for certain locations, and eligibility for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
