About the Role
As an Applications Engineering professional you will prepare optimized selections and accurate technical proposals, providing pre‑sales support for HVAC equipment such as AHUs, VAV boxes, fans, split units, and chillers. You will work closely with the product team to ensure the sales organization receives the best solution for each project. Your duties include interpreting engineering drawings, generating equipment submittals, validating system configurations, and monitoring project deliverables for quality, cost, and schedule. You will also advise sales on system applications, create competitive proposals using market and competitor data, and develop special quotations in partnership with the product team. • Prepare optimized HVAC equipment selections and technical proposals for pre‑sales support. • Select and quote AHUs, VAV boxes, fans, split units, and chillers using JCI software tools. • Validate system configurations and generate air‑side and water‑side equipment submittals. • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to meet project requirements. • Monitor project quality, cost, and schedule while ensuring timely deliverables. • Advise sales teams with creative solutions and competitor insights to gain advantage. • Collaborate with product teams on technical specification reviews and optimization strategies. • Respond to field sales inquiries, propose solutions, and develop special quotation offerings. • Guide pre‑sales teams on system design approaches and tailor equipment packages. • Prepare compliance statements aligned with project specifications.

What You Bring
The role requires a BE/ME in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, 5‑12 years of experience with HVAC equipment selection and quotation, and strong knowledge of air‑side and water‑side systems. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, problem‑solving abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and within multifunctional teams; leadership experience is a plus. • Demonstrate 5‑12 years of HVAC equipment selection, design specification, and quotation experience. • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
