CDL Class A Driver / Laborer

About the Role

• Operate haul trucks and tractor‑trailer/lowboy trucks as required by projects. • Follow prescribed safety regulations and work plans/pre‑task cards. • Load, unload, and handle equipment; perform general cleanup, sweeping, washing, and debris removal. • Maintain housekeeping in an orderly manner within the assigned area. • Conduct routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment. • Monitor equipment operation to detect malfunctions. • Build and maintain effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. • Use power and hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies. • Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts. • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lb (heavier loads with assistance).

What You Bring

Mortenson is seeking a Truck Operator (CDL Class A) who will be responsible for operating trucks as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures. • Hold a current Class A CDL with required endorsements. • Related construction experience preferred. • Demonstrate strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, and professional customer‑service skills. • Possess knowledge of equipment and their uses; apply basic mathematical skills. • Work independently and communicate effectively, including active listening and openness to diverse input.
