About the Role

Under general supervision, the employee determines the conformance of materials, equipment, and installations to company or client specifications, conducts inspections, generates reports on findings, alerts management to significant issues, and completes documentation to certify satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities. The role emphasizes strict safety compliance, organized planning, accurate recording of quality control and assurance data, and proactive communication with field teams and supervision to maintain project quality standards. • Promote and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. • Inspect and verify quality of construction activities on large‑scale wind, solar, and industrial projects, including roads, environmental controls, excavations, concrete, rebar, substations, transmission lines, solar racking, PV installation, underground utilities, turbine installation, steel erection, welding, piping, valves, pumps, compressors, and related equipment. • Plan and conduct daily quality control/quality assurance activities in a highly organized manner. • Record QC/QA data accurately and maintain complete inspection records for permanent filing. • Monitor daily work scope and report according to FQM or client criteria. • Perform pre‑construction quality control inspections to prevent deficiencies. • Identify and address deficiencies promptly and effectively. • Act as the field representative for QA/QC, ensuring construction teams follow requirements. • Maintain open communication with field supervision to track job progress, schedules, and subcontractor performance. • Create punch lists and verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment. • Ensure daily task schedules align with overall project timelines. • Collaborate cross‑functionally with craft personnel and other team members. • Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and technical procedures. • Write daily reports documenting project activities and findings. • Collect and record field data to ensure compliance with corporate Quality Control procedures. • Perform basic calculations for area, circumference, and volume, applying algebra and geometry concepts. • Solve problems both individually and within a team setting. • Work regularly outdoors and in environments with moving machinery, elevated locations, extreme heat, occasional fumes, vibration, and loud noise.

What You Bring

Applicants should possess an associate degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field, or a high school diploma with 1–3 years of relevant construction experience, and may hold preferred certifications such as NDE. Required skills include independent work, strong interpersonal abilities, blueprint interpretation, daily reporting, field data collection, basic mathematical calculations, algebra and geometry application, and effective problem solving. • Hold an associate degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field, or a high school diploma with relevant experience. • Preferred inspection certifications such as NDE are advantageous. • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, self‑start, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
