About the Role
The role is responsible for preparing owner billings according to contractual terms, ensuring job costs follow internal control procedures, and identifying areas of financial risk. It also manages relationships with subcontractors and the project management team to provide exceptional customer service and prompt payment. • Administer jobs with complex contractual issues (certified payroll, diversity & inclusion, prevailing wage, TIF). • Prepare cost‑plus, cost‑plus GMP, or lump‑sum billings, ensuring timely billing of allowable costs. • Track subcontractor lien waivers. • Utilize CMiC project management software for billing functions. • Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including profit swings and unbilled activity. • Identify and communicate financial risk and potential reversals. • Provide ad‑hoc and specialized financial reporting for group leaders. • Review, sign, and approve client billings for project accountants. • Train and mentor new hires. • Facilitate job closeout, including accruals and profit/loss reconciliation. • Coordinate the billing process with the project team.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a related business field and have at least five years of construction accounting experience. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and proven analytical problem‑solving abilities are essential.
