About the Role

As a Plumbing Design Engineer III‑IV, you will design plumbing systems for projects ranging from small to large, representing the firm in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other team members. Responsibilities include preparing calculations, reports, specifications, and fire‑suppression system selections, as well as creating performance specifications. You will also conduct existing‑facility diligence, sustainability analyses, and feasibility reports, produce client‑compliant drawings, and provide engineering support to senior staff. Independent selection of equipment and hydraulic calculations for fire‑suppression systems are required to support design and cost estimation. • Design plumbing systems for commercial, institutional, healthcare, aviation, and large infrastructure projects. • Prepare calculations, reports, specifications, and performance specs for fire‑suppression systems. • Conduct existing‑facility diligence, sustainability analyses, and feasibility studies. • Produce client‑compliant drawings using AutoCAD‑MEP and Revit. • Provide engineering support to senior staff and coordinate with clients, contractors, and architects. • Perform fire‑suppression hydraulic calculations and select appropriate equipment.

What You Bring

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience), at least three years of plumbing design experience, and a Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) certification. Proficiency with the latest versions of AutoCAD‑MEP and Revit, knowledge of mechanical/plumbing trades, building codes, and fire‑suppression applications, and the ability to perform hydraulic calculations are essential. • Meet qualifications: B.S. Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), ≥3 years plumbing design, CPD certification, proficiency in AutoCAD‑MEP/Revit, knowledge of codes and trades.
