About the Role

The HVAC Technician is responsible for supporting mechanical and HVAC asset visibility, condition assessment execution, and sustainment planning through the SMS BUILDER system, ensuring inventories and assessments meet completeness and currency thresholds and advising on preventive and corrective maintenance strategies. • Perform HVAC system condition assessments and inventory validation in SMS BUILDER. • Support maintenance-based assessments during preventive maintenance and document updates per work closeout rules. • Identify and correct inventory/assessment discrepancies within required timelines. • Provide system-level recommendations to leadership for requirement prioritization and investment planning. • Participate in Sub-AMP working groups and help develop and balance preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance strategies. • Support data quality standards and assist with quarterly reviews of shop data entry quality and timeliness. • Coordinate with Operations Flight shops on work task grouping and deconfliction for WRRB submissions.

What You Bring

Candidates must be U.S. citizens holding a valid driver’s license, passport, and active U.S. SECRET clearance, meet CENTCOM MOD-15 theater requirements, possess at least five years’ structures‑trade experience equivalent to Air Force 5‑level, and have completed required AFIT courses; preferred experience includes building automation systems, BUILDER assessor work, and KPI‑driven sustainment programs. • Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license, passport, and active U.S. SECRET security clearance. • Must have Air Force minimum 5‑level (or equivalent) and at least five years’ structures‑trade experience; required AFIT courses completed. • Experience executing inspections/assessments and documenting findings accurately. • Ability to obtain/maintain access for role‑based SMS activities (assessor/read‑only as assigned). • Preferred: experience with building automation systems, facility mechanical rooms, BUILDER assessor work, and KPI‑driven sustainment programs.
