About the Role
The role involves using hand and power tools, operating hoists, ladders, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment to move and install machinery, align engines and conveyors, grease and lubricate equipment, and perform cleaning, repair, and adjustment tasks. The position may require climbing ladders up to 80 m, handling taglines, assisting with crane assembly and teardown, and performing any other duties as assigned. Responsibilities may change without notice. • Measure, cut, and install using hand tools and ladders • Dismantle machines with hand tools • Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks • Assemble and install shafting, conveyors, and tram rails • Align machines and equipment with hoists, jacks, squares, rulers, lasers, micrometers, and plumb bobs • Fasten machines to foundations using bolts, welds, and rivets • Operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn parts to specifications • Set, level, and align engines, motors, generators, conveyors, elevators, monorails, rails, and trolley beams • Grease and lubricate all equipment • Clean, repair, and adjust jacks, chainfalls, pull‑lifts, block and tackles, impact wrenches, chipping hammers, rivet guns, air drills, and torque/tension tools • Operate cranes, forklifts, hoists, lift trucks, hand and power tools • Receive and offload major components • Install loose components for nacelle, hub, and tower preparation • Connect blades to hub • Handle taglines • Assist with main erection crane assembly and teardown • Climb ladders up to an average of 80 m • Build relationships with diverse team members • Read and interpret safety regulations and technical manuals • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements

Mortenson is seeking a Millwright Apprentice who will learn while assisting journeymen millwrights in dismantling, erecting, assembling, aligning, adjusting, and maintaining machinery and equipment according to installation manuals, work instructions, layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be enrolled in an Apprentice Aptitude Program, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to read and interpret safety regulations and technical manuals. They should demonstrate a positive attitude, strong teamwork, active listening, effective communication, and be capable of repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements while lifting up to 50 lb (with assistance for heavier loads). • Hold a high school diploma or GED • Enrolled in Apprentice Aptitude Program • Maintain a valid driver’s license • Exhibit positive attitude, customer service skills, detail orientation, teamwork, active listening, and effective communication • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lb (with assistance for heavier loads)
