Financial Analyst

About the Role

The Financial Analyst role supports the department by delivering timely financial reporting, assisting with project management, and performing analyses for both internal and external customers. The analyst measures, manages, and analyzes business metrics and initiatives, offering recommendations to improve processes and policies. Accurate and transparent financial analysis is provided to management as needed. Core duties include generating standard and ad‑hoc reports, interpreting operational data, and developing metrics and tools that enhance accountability. The analyst identifies root‑cause issues using data, proposes solutions, and collaborates with management and field divisions on process improvements. Additional responsibilities involve translating system data into clear solutions, leading special projects, and creating durable processes and training materials. • Provide financial analysis and support for operational initiatives. • Generate standard and ad‑hoc reports with clear explanations. • Analyze business metrics and data to perform meaningful analysis. • Develop metrics and tools to enhance accountability. • Present and interpret analyses on improvement opportunities. • Identify root‑cause issues using data and recommend solutions. • Coordinate with management and field divisions on process improvements. • Translate system data into scalable, understandable solutions. • Lead and participate in team and special financial projects. • Document, optimize, and implement durable processes aligned with business goals. • Contribute to best practices and develop training materials. • Interact with field controllership and corporate departments to achieve objectives. • Analyze data from various source systems. • Create Excel macros or SQL scripts to streamline tasks and reporting. • Communicate financial information effectively to senior leadership. • Apply analytical and problem‑solving skills to generate independent solutions. • Manage multiple activities and information sources simultaneously.

What You Bring

The position requires experience with data analysis from multiple source systems and familiarity with tools such as Oracle, Tango, Arriba, and LQ. Candidates must be proficient in Excel macros or SQL, possess strong communication skills to present financial insights to senior leaders, and understand SOX compliance. A minimum of one year of financial, accounting, or business analysis experience and intermediate‑to‑expert Excel proficiency are required. • Use Oracle, Tango, Arriba, and LQ systems. • Understand SOX compliance requirements. • Possess intermediate to expert level expertise in Microsoft Excel. • Minimum one year of financial, accounting, or business analysis experience.
