About the Role
The role focuses on delivering technical support for the latest DEWALT MEP and fire protection products by leveraging technical data, proprietary design software, and market databases to answer product queries, handle submittal requests, perform quantity take‑offs, and generate sales leads. Key duties include developing deep product knowledge, assessing application scenarios, preparing quantity take‑offs for anchors, hangers, and seismic braces, and creating detailed product submittals for field personnel. The Engineer will collaborate with contractors, distributors, and design teams, provide assistance with proprietary anchor and hanger design software, and communicate customer feedback for product development. Additional responsibilities involve maintaining client records in a CRM system, providing territory coverage for Field Engineers, and staying current with construction technologies such as BIM and related software. • Provide technical support for DEWALT MEP and fire protection products. • Use design software and market databases to answer product questions and generate sales leads. • Perform quantity take‑offs for anchors, hangers, and seismic braces. • Create and manage product submittals for field personnel. • Assist customers with proprietary anchor and hanger design tools. • Collect and relay customer feedback for future product development. • Maintain client information in a CRM system. • Cover territory and support Field Engineers as needed. • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents. • Negotiate, follow up, and document interactions with stakeholders. • Apply technical sales skills to present products and solutions.

What You Bring
Candidates must have an associate’s degree or equivalent, at least one year of experience in MEP/FP estimating, design, or fabrication, and strong communication skills; the ability to read blueprints, negotiate, and multitask in a fast‑paced environment is essential. Preferred technical proficiencies include MS Office, Revit/AutoCAD MEP, Bluebeam, and Salesforce, while experience in technical sales and self‑directed, home‑based work schedules are advantageous. • Travel up to 20% of the time, including occasional overnight trips. • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Utilize MS Office, Revit/AutoCAD MEP, Bluebeam, and Salesforce (preferred). • Demonstrate self‑starter attitude and manage a home‑based schedule.
