Lead mechanical design and development of electromechanical products, from concept to release.
Job Highlights
About the Role
Participate in new product development, introduction, innovation, idea creation, and implementation while serving as the mechanical design owner. Make engineering decisions based on product performance test results, inspection reports, tooling assessments, DFMA considerations, product cost metrics, and team input. Perform mechanical engineering tasks including CAD solid modeling, design simulation, product specifications, BOM and ECO creation, systems development, product testing, results analysis, and design validation. Develop 2D drawings and assembly documentation using CREO 3D and SolidWorks. Create and coordinate product performance test plans with internal and external laboratories. Engage in project management using ProLaunch and other tools, collaborating with multi‑disciplined and remote teams to achieve project goals. Conduct Voice of the Customer (VOC) research, market requirements analysis, and competitive benchmarking. Organize work with peers, extended internal members, and external developers, while maintaining and upgrading existing products and providing technical customer support. Assist with third‑party certifications and regulatory compliance initiatives, ensuring timely completion and accurate results delivered to project commitment dates. Hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical or electromechanical engineering, seven years of electromechanical product development experience, and three years each of CREO 3D modeling and finite element analysis experience. Provide technical leadership across culturally diverse sites, drive cross‑functional collaboration, and mentor junior engineers. Promote modern software engineering practices, continuous improvement, and innovative, scalable, reusable designs, supported by strong planning skills and a passion for achieving goals. • Lead mechanical design decisions based on test results, cost, DFMA, and team input. • Create CAD solid models, 2D drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and ECOs using CREO and SolidWorks. • Perform design simulations, finite element analysis, and validation testing. • Develop and coordinate product performance test plans with internal and external labs. • Manage projects with ProLaunch, collaborating with multidisciplinary and remote teams. • Conduct Voice of the Customer research, market requirement analysis, and competitive benchmarking. • Maintain and upgrade existing products while providing technical support and customer service. • Support third‑party certifications and regulatory compliance efforts. • Ensure deliverables meet project schedule and quality commitments.

What You Bring
• Hold a B.S. in mechanical or electromechanical engineering with 7 years of product development experience. • Possess at least 3 years of CREO 3D modeling and 2D documentation experience. • Have a minimum of 3 years hands‑on experience with finite element analysis software. • Experience with root‑cause analysis, troubleshooting, and SolidWorks modeling. • Demonstrated ability to lead culturally diverse, global teams and mentor junior engineers. • Strong cross‑functional collaboration, design thinking, and innovation focus.
