About the Role

Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting drawings and specifications, cutting and boring holes in structures, assembling and securing pipes by brazing, gluing, soldering or threading, and attaching them to walls or fixtures with brackets or Unistrut. Technicians also troubleshoot piping systems, install automatic controls for hydronic and refrigerant systems, and adhere to all safety policies. • Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports. • Cut and bore holes in structures prior to pipe installation using hand and power tools. • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment by brazing, gluing, soldering, and threading. • Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures with brackets or Unistrut. • Troubleshoot problems in piping systems. • Install automatic controls for hydronic and refrigerant systems. • Follow all safety policies and procedures. • Work 10–12‑hour shifts and select appropriate pipe types, sizes, and supports per specifications. • Lift up to 50 lb; sit or stand for most of the shift; handle occasional exposure to temperature extremes, dust, and chemical fumes.
