About the Role
The Senior Scheduler will supervise the scheduling team, ensure corporate planning standards are applied, and guarantee that project activities comply with those standards. They will mentor field personnel, foster a collaborative teamwork environment, allocate resources, and conduct performance evaluations. The role also involves handling hiring decisions, promoting leadership development, enforcing the Zero Injury Safety Program, and addressing open‑shop and union matters. • Oversee all planning and scheduling activities • Supervise and direct the scheduling team • Ensure corporate planning standards and project compliance • Coach, mentor, and train field personnel and assistant superintendents • Foster teamwork and provide resources to crews • Conduct work direction and performance evaluations • Participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions • Develop leadership potential through task assignments and growth opportunities • Implement Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program on site • Manage open shop and union issues

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a construction‑related discipline and have at least six years of construction experience or an equivalent mix of training. Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and PowerProject, along with solid knowledge of construction sequencing, 4D visual planning, and standard practices, is required. Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to travel and a valid driver’s license, are essential. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field • Possess at least six years of construction experience or equivalent training • Proficient in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and PowerProject • Knowledgeable of standard construction practices, project sequencing, and 4D visual planning • Strong plan and specification reading, interpretation, and analytical skills • Basic understanding of project management, contracts, buyout, cost‑loaded schedules, and claims avoidance • Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams • Excellent oral, written, and active listening communication skills • Ability to travel as required and hold a current driver’s license

Compensation ranges from $93,000 to $126,100, with higher ranges for certain locations (Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Washington, D.C.).
