About the Role

The Coordinator, Planning, is a driven and detail‑oriented individual who will be responsible for ensuring the effective flow of cargo through the terminal. The role anticipates and eliminates potential delays through planning, scheduling and coordination of resources to deliver exceptional customer service. • Liaise and communicate with steamship lines, class ones, truckers, shippers, government agencies and internal staff to coordinate import and export cargo movement. • Check and resolve inward and outward EDI errors. • Plan and execute inbound and outbound rail movements, communicating car specifications and loading plans with the operations team. • Process and validate operational and administrative information, verifying data accuracy against documentation and proactively resolving errors. • Monitor and communicate information and changes to internal and external stakeholders. • Process special service requests for customers, ensuring all billable charges are quoted, approved and invoiced. • Respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally, escalating when appropriate to ensure resolution. • Complete all necessary forms such as bills of lading, customs documentation and re‑manifest/cargo control documents. • Support all administration duties, reporting and billing.

What You Bring

• Degree in business, logistics or a similar field preferred. • Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills with attention to detail. • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, and ability to learn new systems quickly. • Customer service orientation with effective communication at all organizational levels. • Proven ability to exercise judgment within defined practices and policies. • Motivated and capable of working independently while contributing to the team. • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
