About the Role
The IT Manager – Risk Management and Middle Office Solutions role supports hybrid flexible work arrangements, with the option to work remotely in select states (AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MI, MO, MT, NJ, NY, NC, PA, TX, UT, WA, WI). This leader will design, support, and implement short- and long-term strategies, solutions, and customer support for Power Operations Risk Management (ETRM) and Finance middle-office teams across applications, integrations, architecture, networks, and infrastructure. Partnering closely with the Power Operations Risk Management and Finance middle‑office groups, the manager will execute the IT strategy, ensure alignment with enterprise business goals, and deliver capabilities that drive business success. As a senior IT leader, you will have a seat at the table, guiding the company toward outcomes rather than providing passive service, and will be measured on business results and the delivery of a best‑in‑class digital ecosystem. You will manage a team of professionals, accountable for performance and results, while adapting departmental plans to resource and operational challenges. The role also includes providing subject‑matter guidance to associates, colleagues, and customers, and requires expert knowledge of IT applications, advanced financial analysis, analytical thinking, and a strategic mindset. Key responsibilities include managing enterprise‑wide business applications, directing IT software projects, collaborating with business managers, PMO, and architecture teams, developing a vision‑aligned applications strategy, maintaining a comprehensive portfolio with lifecycle and change‑management oversight, and leading functional expertise to solve complex business challenges. The position sets department budgeting, resource allocation, and workforce planning, ensuring skilled resources meet service‑delivery goals. It also identifies organizational development needs, creates development strategies, and evaluates business benefits. • Design, support, and implement IT solutions for Power Operations Risk Management and Finance middle-office teams. • Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, overseeing performance, resource planning, and budgeting. • Manage enterprise-wide business applications to ensure optimal performance and alignment with corporate goals. • Develop and maintain an applications portfolio, roadmaps, and change‑management processes. • Provide strategic guidance and subject‑matter expertise across IT, trading, and finance functions.

What You Bring
Education requirements are a bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Candidates need at least eight years of IT or business‑application management experience, including leadership in power commodity trading; experience with the Endur application is strongly preferred. Core competencies include expert knowledge of energy‑trading risk‑management applications, software delivery life‑cycle methodology, financial modeling, and modern development trends. General competencies cover analytical thinking, influence, interpersonal, negotiation, organization, presentation, problem‑solving, resource management, and communication skills. The role demands cognitive agility to meet deadlines, maintain accuracy, collaborate under stress, adapt to change, and incorporate feedback. Schedule expectations include long or variable hours, on‑call duties, and the ability to work during severe weather while maintaining reliable attendance. • Require a bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or related field and 8+ years of IT experience, including leadership in power commodity trading. • Preferred experience with Endur risk‑management application and advanced financial modeling. • Demonstrated analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to drive results in a fast‑changing environment.
