About the Role
The Fixed Assets & Reporting (FA&R) Team Lead provides leadership to a team of senior, financial and assistant financial controllers during the period‑end, managing day‑to‑day operations, distributing workloads and ensuring the team meets or exceeds its SLAs and KPIs. The role also focuses on engaging, supporting and developing team members through performance reviews, skill‑building and process‑improvement opportunities, while acting as the primary escalation point for operational issues. Key responsibilities include coordinating and supervising daily task prioritisation, overseeing general ledger, inter‑company and reporting activities, and communicating unusual transactions or trends to management. The role drives performance through data‑driven insights, supports process redesign, standardisation and optimisation, and manages escalations by coaching the team, leading resolutions and implementing controls to prevent recurrence. It also maintains financial accounting and reporting controls in line with the Risk Control Matrix and provides mentorship, guidance and timely feedback to the team. • Coordinate and supervise daily task prioritisation and workload balancing across the FA&R team. • Oversee general ledger, intercompany, and reporting activities to ensure accuracy and timely completion. • Identify unusual transactions or trends and communicate findings and recommendations to management. • Drive team and process performance using data‑driven insights and maintain project documentation. • Support process redesign, standardisation, and optimisation initiatives. • Monitor and coach the team on handling escalations, leading issue resolution and implementing controls. • Investigate root causes of escalations to prevent recurrence. • Maintain and operate financial accounting and reporting controls in line with the Risk Control Matrix. • Mentor, guide, and provide performance feedback to team members. • Manage stakeholder relationships at the operational level.

What You Bring
Qualifications require a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and a professional qualification such as CA, CPA or ACCA. The candidate should have at least ten years of GBS or BPO experience with end‑to‑end financial accounting expertise, experience in resource planning, scheduling and workflow management, and a proven track record of leading an FA&R team and driving KPI performance. Stakeholder management, coaching abilities, SAP ERP proficiency and preferably a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt are also required. • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting; qualified accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA) or equivalent. • Minimum 10 years experience in GBS/BPO with end‑to‑end financial accounting expertise. • Proven experience in resource planning, scheduling, workflow management, and leading an FA&R team. • Strong stakeholder management and coaching abilities. • Proficiency with SAP ERP; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (desired).
