Senior Precon and Estimating Manager

About the Role
• Make decisions within defined authority and consult supervisor when needed. • Lead overall preconstruction process to produce competitive bids, proposals, estimates, analyses, and budgets. • Prepare and execute project win strategies, including interviews and presentations of estimates and proposals. • Oversee project teams to ensure successful execution and completion of preconstruction. • Manage relationships with key clients and design team contacts during preconstruction. • Perform estimating tasks as needed, including self‑perform estimating. • Create conceptual budgets. • Report accurate project cost history. • Partner with operations to review project risk assessment, scoring, and completion. • Review project business plans with stakeholders to ensure alignment and profitability. • Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion and ensure proactive implementation of non‑discrimination policies. • Conduct effective presentations. • Use construction estimating software (intermediate). • Utilize required construction technology. • Prepare quantity surveys. • Develop General Requirements estimates. • Develop proficiency in Lens, Revit, and/or ASE software. • Build relationships and collaborate within internal and external teams.

What You Bring
• Perform work accurately, completely, and timely. • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills (intermediate). • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (intermediate). • Read and understand drawings and specifications (intermediate). • Know means and methods of construction management (intermediate). • Understand field operations through project support. • Familiar with specific trades and scopes of work (intermediate). • Knowledge of self‑perform and labor productivity. • Understand MBE, WBE, and SBA regulations (intermediate). • Understand project processes and how they support successful completion. • Apply Lean process and philosophy. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Possess 10+ years of construction estimating experience; people management experience preferred. • Maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license. • Able to lift up to 10 pounds and may require overnight travel. • Willing to work non‑traditional hours to meet project needs. • Frequent activity: sitting and viewing computer screens; occasional activity: standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling.
