About the Role
The Process Technician position at Viega in McPherson, KS ensures machines operate at peak quality and efficiency, drives continuous improvement, and develops team members through training and expertise. The role provides leadership by training new employees, maintaining set‑up records, performing changeovers, monitoring machine performance, making minor repairs, and stepping in for operators or supervisors as needed. The technician documents production data, communicates daily updates, suggests equipment and tooling enhancements, conducts root‑cause analysis, inspects and maintains tooling, and upholds 6S cleanliness and safety standards. • Lead and train team members on processes and equipment. • Perform machine changeovers and monitor operations per control plans. • Record set‑up data, submit first‑article inspections, and make minor mechanical adjustments. • Conduct minor repairs, assemble equipment, and respond to equipment alarms. • Communicate production status daily via boards and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives. • Perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions. • Inspect, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on tooling. • Maintain documentation, shift logs, and QMS records. • Execute 6S activities and keep the work area clean and safe. • Attend operational and safety meetings and cover supervisor duties as needed.

What You Bring
