About the Role

The role involves operating, inspecting, monitoring, and performing minor maintenance on boilers, turbines, auxiliary equipment, and other plant systems, as well as completing all required classroom, hands‑on, and computer training for Plant Specialist B certification. Work is performed on 12‑hour rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, and requires the use of PPE, work on scaffolds, catwalks, and in confined spaces, often in extreme weather conditions. • Isolate power sources before inspections, testing, or maintenance. • Perform equipment operational checks: startup, shutdown, tests, adjustments. • Record operating conditions and generate trouble reports for abnormal events. • Respond to plant emergencies, unit upsets, and changing operating conditions. • Assist Control and Maintenance Specialists as assigned. • Work on scaffolds, catwalks, and in confined spaces with required PPE.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass the Edison Electric Institute Power Plant Maintenance and Operator exams, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
