What You Bring

The Boiler Service Technician is responsible for wiring, firing, and testing boilers in the field, handling both startup and ongoing maintenance of customer equipment. The role requires knowledge of PLCs, transformers, transmitters, and other controls, as well as the ability to wire controls and motors for boilers and auxiliary equipment. Familiarity with condensate tanks, deaerators, and the ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics is essential. Technicians must troubleshoot, set combustion, determine valve trim and regulator sizes, and maintain tool inventory while delivering efficient, cost-effective results. Candidates must be able to read schematics and possess extensive experience with hot-water heating systems and boiler controls such as Honeywell, Fireye, and Siemens. A Class A gas ticket, strong mechanical and electrical background, and at least five years in the electrical, control, and boiler field are required. The ability to troubleshoot boilers and auxiliary equipment, retrofit control systems in the field, and work without schematics is essential. A backflow testing ticket is preferred, or willingness to obtain certification, and the position offers an hourly rate of $71.43 with union-provided benefits. • Hold a Class A gas ticket and knowledge of Honeywell, Fireye, and Siemens boiler controls. • Minimum five years experience in electrical, control, and boiler fields. • Retrofit control systems and operate effectively without schematics. • Backflow testing ticket preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
