About the Role
The Plumber assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems per specifications and plumbing codes, studying building plans to determine work sequence. Responsibilities include maintaining mechanical supply and drain lines, clearing clogs, repairing or replacing fixtures, and performing preventative maintenance on pumps, water filters, heaters, steam lines, gas lines, meters, regulators, vessels, drains, and other appliances. Pay rate is $37.36 hourly, onsite work model with first, second, and third shift options. • Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and maintain plumbing fixtures and components. • Service water heaters (gas, electric, steam) and related control/safety devices. • Cut openings, thread, bend, and install pipes and fittings using hand and power tools. • Assemble and install metal valves and pipe fittings. • Perform backflow preventer testing and repairs. • Conduct basic electrical wiring for water heaters, pumps, and control devices. • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and instructions to plan work layout. • Respond to emergency site maintenance and perform on‑call preventive tasks. • Coordinate materials and parts with trade and warehouse staff; manage inventory requisitions. • Operate company vehicles safely and perform lower‑classified duties such as file maintenance and workspace cleanup. • Support other department staff and adhere to safety policies and SOPs. • Maintain CMMS records and perform other assigned duties.

What You Bring
• High school diploma or GED. • Minimum five years plumbing and maintenance experience. • Valid Journeyman Plumbing license and Backflow Prevention certificate. • Ability to obtain Backflow certification within 90 days and Hepatitis B vaccination within six months. • Knowledge of safety procedures, PPE, lockout/tagout, and applicable plumbing codes. • Proficiency with hand and power tools and basic mathematics. • Professional demeanor and ability to interact courteously with diverse personnel. • Pass pre‑hire drug test, background check, and obtain required security clearance. • U.S. citizenship and valid driver’s license with acceptable record. • Ability to work overtime, various shifts, lift 50 lb individually (team lift 75 lb). • Ability to obtain and maintain intelligence community clearance.
