About the Role

The permanent full‑time Senior Health & Safety Advisor reports to the Health & Safety Business Partner and works upstream of the work to embed risk management into planning, design and mobilisation. The role partners with superintendents, project managers and engineers to anticipate WHS risks, strengthen work preparation and improve control quality before teams mobilise, while maintaining periodic site presence to keep planning connected to execution. Our goal is to make safety an operational responsibility, with the Health & Safety team acting as coaches, mentors and technical experts. In this position you will enable safer delivery by collaborating early with delivery leaders to build safety into processes rather than adding it later, and you will champion capability uplift across the organisation.

If you want to move beyond reactive safety and shape how work is planned and delivered, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact. • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Health and Safety (desired) • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HSE practitioner in a high‑risk industry (construction or infrastructure preferred) • Experience leading or supporting risk and opportunity and safety‑in‑design workshops • Strong ability to plan and integrate WHS controls • Capability to lead or co‑lead investigations into serious or high‑potential incidents (ICAM desirable) • Tactical improvement mindset with ability to identify systemic risks and implement uplift initiatives • Confidence supporting planning and mobilisation of high‑risk or complex work fronts • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability supporting advisors and developing H&S professionals • Strong knowledge of Critical Risk management framework • Experience in injury management and workers’ compensation • Current and valid driver’s licence required
