About the Role
You will be responsible for completing surveying tasks on schedule and within budget, checking setting‑out and levels, confirming service locations, preparing field sketches, maintaining survey documentation, measuring work when required, and adhering to site safety procedures. Additional duties include assisting in the preparation of as‑built drawings and supporting health and safety initiatives on site. • Perform land/field surveys, geodetic calculations, and structural inspections. • Interface with clients and contractors to determine and verify survey requirements. • Complete surveying tasks within schedule, man‑hour, and cost budgets. • Check setting‑out, levels, and service locations, ensuring protection. • Prepare sketches and maintain field books, calculations, and survey records. • Measure work as needed and assist in creating as‑built drawings. • Observe and promote site safety procedures and health‑safety initiatives. • Utilize CAD, survey software, total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking a highly talented Land Surveyor to join its team. In this role you will perform land and field surveys, conduct geodetic calculations and structural inspections, and work closely with clients and contractors to verify project survey requirements. The position requires a BSc degree in Engineering, a minimum of five years’ experience on infrastructure and dry‑utilities projects, and proficiency with CAD, survey software, total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment. Knowledge of construction sequences, standard industry procedures, and preferably experience with MCC are also required. Strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to convey information logically to management and staff, and a commitment to safe work practices are desired.
