About the Role
The Routing and Logistics Expert researches, develops, and implements routing and logistics plans to enhance productivity, safety, and reduce costs. They communicate route changes to key personnel, provide training and transition tools, and monitor activity during implementation of new or optimized routes. The role requires travel throughout the market area from Fresno County to San Diego County, with overnight stays ranging from a few days to several weeks, and can be based near any WM site in Southern California. Schedule follows standard business hours with occasional holidays and Saturdays. Essential duties include designing and redesigning routing and logistics solutions by collecting, verifying, and analyzing data on current routes, vehicles, disposal facilities, and productivity. The expert assists in developing policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control, and creates and implements plans to optimize routes and other transportation operations. They also monitor activity and productivity results during the rollout of new, optimized routes.

What You Bring
Required qualifications are an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or a high school diploma/GED with two years of relevant experience; no prior work experience is acceptable if education requirements are met. Preferred qualifications are not specified. Physical requirements involve primarily office work using standard equipment. Benefits
The base pay range for this hybrid position is $77,970 – $90,000, with eligibility for incentive pay.
