About the Role
The Logistics Specialist will serve as an on‑site resource for the Surface Warfare Schools Command (SWSC) N79 Damage Control Firefighting Directorate and other SWSC directorates in San Diego. The role is responsible for procuring essential training resources by reviewing and processing Purchase Requests, tracking funding documentation, and ensuring alignment with established supply guidelines. Key duties include providing direct logistics, supply, and financial support for SWSC N79 training requirements, reviewing funding request documents and maintaining visibility for stakeholders, and planning and coordinating material flow from supplier to customer to meet timelines and specifications. The Specialist will prepare, submit, and track procurement requests, validate Purchase Requests for compliance, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, obtain quotes, and manage delivery logistics, including customs coordination when needed. Additional responsibilities involve creating logistics support documentation, maintaining logistics databases, and implementing logistics plans for new systems or major modifications. • Provide logistics, supply, and financial support for SWSC N79 training programs. • Review, validate, and process Purchase Requests in compliance with supply guidelines. • Coordinate material flow, inventory storage, and delivery timelines with vendors and customs. • Prepare logistics documentation such as support plans and implementation plans. • Maintain logistics databases and execute plans for new systems or major modifications. • Attend N8 departmental meetings and support N78 Directorate initiatives.

What You Bring
The position requires U.S. citizenship, an active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one), a High School Diploma or GED, and a minimum of six years’ experience in DoD logistics or supply management. Demonstrated experience with procurement request processing, supply‑material flow planning, and inventory handling is essential. A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Administration, Accounting, or a related field is preferred, as is familiarity with Navy supply and procurement tools such as One Touch Support, FEDMALL, and GSA Advantage. Knowledge of the Government Commercial Purchase Card program, DoD regulations, and experience in a military or educational training environment are also advantageous. • U.S. citizen with active Secret clearance and at least 6 years of DoD logistics experience. • High School Diploma/GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
