Landfill Laborer

About the Role

A Laborer at Republic Services is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill. The role supports daily operations through a variety of tasks that keep sites functional and compliant. Typical duties include yard clean‑up, fueling vehicles and equipment, operating site machinery, and maintaining office spaces. All work is performed with a focus on safety and productivity. • Clean up work areas. • Clean track on track‑type equipment. • Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pickup. • Operate site vehicles and equipment such as water trucks, pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, and trimming equipment. • Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial tasks. • Install temporary wind fences as required. • Direct traffic at the site as necessary.
