About the Role
The Sr. Sustainability Analyst role is highly collaborative and supports strategic initiatives within Sunbelt Rentals’ Sustainability program. The analyst will work across waste and water management, carbon emission reductions, and energy‑sustainability management to help the company meet its environmental goals. • Support project execution in waste, water, carbon reduction, and energy management. • Track and coordinate sustainability initiatives such as energy efficiency, fleet electrification, alternative fuels, water, and waste, including data collection and cost/emissions analysis. • Develop and maintain analytical tools, models, and datasets for quantifying energy use, emissions, and reduction scenarios. • Conduct enterprise‑wide carbon accounting for Scope 1, 2, and prioritized Scope 3, aligning with the GHG Protocol and supporting external disclosures (GRI, TCFD, CDP, EcoVadis, S&P). • Collect, validate, and manage sustainability, utility, and activity data across a distributed portfolio, ensuring QA/QC and audit readiness. • Update emissions factors, assumptions, and calculation methodologies as standards evolve. • Create dashboards, analyses, and visualizations that translate data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders and leadership. • Assist with annual sustainability reporting and communication, ensuring consistency of metrics, methodologies, and narratives. • Coordinate with cross‑functional partners (operations, fleet, procurement, finance) to gather inputs, resolve data gaps, and support program execution.

What You Bring
Physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching and lifting up to 25 lb, as well as occasional driving, loading heavy equipment, and working in extreme weather or off‑hours. All duties must follow Sunbelt’s safety policies, with reasonable accommodations provided as required by ADA/ADAAA. • Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, business, engineering, public policy, communications, or related field (Master’s preferred) and at least 3 years of hands‑on sustainability experience. • Strong modeling, data‑management, analytical, and project‑management skills; excellent communication and collaboration abilities. • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word; PowerBI preferred; familiarity with GHG Protocol, CDP, TCFD, EcoVadis, SBTi, etc. • Servant‑leader attitude, ability to handle ambiguity, multitask, and respond to urgent work demands. • Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift ≥ 25 lb; may require long‑duration driving, equipment loading/unloading, and work in extreme weather or non‑standard hours.
