About the Role
As a Cleaner on the BGIS Sustainable Cleaning Solutions team you will work in a designated zone, focusing on quality control, health and safety, and exceeding client expectations while reporting to a Manager or Supervisor. • Sweep, scrub, vacuum and mop hard‑surface floors using manual or automated equipment. • Strip, seal, finish and polish hard‑surface floors manually or with power tools. • Clean washroom floors, stairwells, elevator cabs and glass areas using ladders or scaffolding as needed. • Transport garbage to bins or compactors and move maintenance machinery between floors or sites. • Load, unload and replenish cleaning supplies; mix water and detergents according to specifications. • Operate floor‑maintenance machines, carpet steam cleaners or shampoo machines. • Clean and store equipment and machinery after use. • Follow chemical and equipment procedures to protect floors and fixtures. • Notify management of major repairs or building system additions. • Remove snow and debris from sidewalks, driveways and parking areas using plows, blowers or shovels and apply melting chemicals.

What You Bring
Candidates should have experience in institutional cleaning, familiarity with floor‑maintenance equipment, knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS, and the ability to lift, push, pull heavy items and use ladders. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility to work weekends, holidays and multiple locations, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions are required. A valid Class G driver's licence and applicable security clearance may be required.

Benefits
The role is part‑time with a salary range of $17.60‑$20.88 per hour, based on competencies, experience, education and performance. Physical demands include occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
