About the Role

The position involves performing planned and reactive maintenance on M&E systems, diagnosing and resolving faults in electrical, mechanical and HVAC equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will provide technical support across multiple sites, liaise with customers to deliver outstanding service, and support and mentor apprentices and junior engineers. Are you a skilled Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer in or around the Canterbury area, looking for an exciting opportunity in the facilities management sector? We are seeking a dedicated professional to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a defined portfolio, ensuring top-quality service delivery and first-line response to emergencies. We require candidates with a recognised apprenticeship or qualification in M&E services or maintenance, along with previous experience in a similar role, preferably in retail or commercial settings. A valid UK driving licence is essential, and candidates should hold 18th Edition, F‑Gas and Test & Inspection qualifications, demonstrate strong problem‑solving abilities, work independently, and be IT proficient. • Fault diagnosis and resolution for electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment • Compliance with health & safety regulations • Recognised apprenticeship or M&E qualification • Experience in retail or commercial maintenance • Valid UK driving licence • 18th Edition, F‑Gas, and Test & Inspection certifications • Strong problem‑solving and independent work capability • IT proficiency and effective workload management

The role offers a salary of £35,834 or £41,210 depending on experience, full door-to-door pay, up to 4% bonus and overtime paid at time-and-a-half.
