About the Role

The Automation Tester will be a key contributor to the design, development and implementation of test automation for large‑scale, mission‑critical access control and security system applications. This role involves creating new automation modules, maintaining existing ones, and working with minimal direction alongside engineers to deliver robust system solutions throughout the SDLC. You will work closely with Scrum teams, architects and software developers to deliver high‑quality products on time, participating in planning, development, testing and release phases. The position requires hands‑on collaboration, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a solid understanding of QA for web and thick‑client applications. Key responsibilities include automating existing test plans, building new tools, developing automation strategies for complex systems, and applying continuous‑integration/continuous‑deployment practices. You will coordinate with global teams, mentor junior members, continuously improve test processes, and ensure defects are raised and reviewed within required timeframes. • Design, develop, and implement test automation for large‑scale access control and security systems. • Create and maintain automation modules; automate existing test plans and build new tools. • Collaborate with Scrum teams, architects, and developers throughout the SDLC. • Execute test cases and ensure defects are logged and reviewed promptly. • Develop automation plans for complex systems and present technical recommendations. • Apply CI/CD practices and support continuous integration and deployment. • Mentor junior team members and coordinate work in a global team environment. • Continuously improve test processes and stay abreast of emerging technologies.

What You Bring

Qualifications include a BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA degree and 5–8 years of automation engineering experience, with at least 2 years of Selenium development using Python or Java. Required skills cover GUI‑based, data‑driven and object‑based testing, HTML/JavaScript knowledge, unit and integration testing, Git, automated deployment, and Agile methodologies. Familiarity with IoT and security physical‑access‑control domains, as well as hardware testing, is preferred. • 5–8 years automation engineering experience, including 2+ years Selenium with Python or Java. • Proficient in GUI‑based, data‑driven, and object‑based testing methodologies. • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, unit/integration testing, and non‑functional testing. • Experience with Git, automated deployment, and Agile/Incremental development. • Bachelor’s or higher degree (BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA). • Familiarity with IoT and security physical‑access‑control domains; hardware testing preferred. • Strong teamwork, self‑motivation, and ability to operate in ambiguous environments.
