About the Role
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall financial health of projects, including managing subcontracts, suppliers, budgets, and invoicing. Responsibilities also include creating monthly owner billings, handling contract buyouts, overseeing trade partner selection, and maintaining schedule, budget, quality, risk, safety, and compliance through project completion. • Manage project financials, including subcontracts, supplier costs, and invoicing. • Develop and maintain project budgets and allocate estimates in the financial system. • Create monthly owner billings and handle contract buyouts. • Oversee selection of trade partners and suppliers. • Lead assistant project managers and engineers, assigning work and supporting career development. • Approve on-site team timecards and provide performance feedback. • Serve as primary contact for owners and on-site representatives, addressing agreements and site concerns. • Execute and manage change orders, securing customer or architect approval. • Maintain project schedule, budget, quality, risk, safety, and compliance through completion.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in construction, civil, architectural engineering, or construction management, or have equivalent experience, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to travel up to 100%. The role requires proven ability to manage complex projects, strong attention to detail, basic knowledge of construction law, and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and project software. Two career levels are defined: Project Manager 1 requires six years of construction management experience with a base pay range of $110,700–$166,100, while Project Manager 2 requires seven years and experience on large ($20M+) projects with a base pay range of $128,300–$192,500. Location adjustments apply, and the position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; visa sponsorship is not available for this position. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in construction, civil, architectural engineering, or construction management (or equivalent experience). • Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%. • Demonstrated experience managing complex construction projects (6‑7 years, with $20M+ projects for PM2). • Proficient with Microsoft Office, project software, and related web applications. • Knowledge of construction law, EEO, inclusive behaviors, and Mortenson policies.
