About the Role

The civil engineer will work on design‑and‑build projects, producing outline and detailed civil engineering designs, specifications, drawings and schedules while collaborating closely with client and contractor partners. The role supports civil discipline leads in health‑and‑safety excellence, participates in design meetings, ensures compliance with standards such as CDM and Minimum Asset Standard, and delivers technical deliverables including calculations and documentation. • Support civil discipline leads to achieve health & safety excellence and comply with CDM regulations. • Participate in regular design and discipline meetings, sharing cross‑discipline information. • Produce technical deliverables such as engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and schedules. • Ensure all work meets Minimum Asset Standard and challenge specifications when appropriate. • Maintain quality and consistency of civil engineering documents. • Communicate technical expectations across all levels and escalate issues affecting time, cost or quality. • Coordinate with other engineers and discipline leads to manage interfaces, gaps and best‑practice sharing. • Provide and maintain design‑work cost estimates and manage associated risks and assumptions. • Promote good H&S practice, design out confined spaces and work‑at‑height hazards. • Address environmental considerations throughout the design process.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a civil engineering degree, have 3‑5 years of progressive design experience, and be chartered (or working towards chartership) with a strong background in water/wastewater treatment projects across the UK, South‑East Asia or the Middle East. Proven client‑liaison, multidisciplinary project experience, excellent communication, mentoring ability, and proficiency in international codes, BIM and standard software are essential. • Civil engineering degree. • 3‑5 years of engineering design experience with increasing responsibility. • Chartered Engineer (ICE) status or progressing towards it. • Experience in water/wastewater treatment projects in UK, SE Asia or Middle East. • Strong client liaison, multidisciplinary project, and mentoring skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication in English. • Proven planning, monitoring and budgeting of projects. • Knowledge of international codes, regulations and fee proposal preparation. • Proficiency with BIM and standard industry software. • Experience with Revit, Plant 3D or Navisworks. • AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint and PDF management. • Bentley ProjectWise, BIM 360.
