About the Role

• Develop training material for Metro and Rail Learning Academy and lead rollout to APNA colleagues. • Lead Systems Engineering and Integration for Mott MacDonald or client projects. • Coordinate with other disciplines and support interdisciplinary market‑facing business opportunities. • Create Systems Integration strategies, plans and roadmaps aligned with project needs. • Serve as SME for Operational Integration and Readiness, including operational proving activities and ETCS interoperability. • Serve as SME for Operational Safety and Assurance, developing safety and assurance arguments. • Serve as SME for Stage and Systems Definitions, producing test stage and system definition documents. • Serve as SME for Operational, Maintenance and Test Concepts, shaping related concepts and procedures.

What You Bring

Due to strong growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, we are looking for a talented Systems Engineering and Integration Lead to join our Australian Systems Engineering and Integration team in Queensland. Our offering is unique – complex projects often struggle to integrate their systems and assets, leading to delays or poor outcomes, and our clients rely on us to define frameworks and achieve operational readiness. We provide expertise in Systems Integration, Testing & Commissioning, Progressive Systems Assurance, and Operations & Maintenance Integration to ensure the best outcomes for projects, operators and end users. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and have experience delivering large, complex projects on the right side of the V. They must demonstrate holistic integration of complex systems, an inclusive leadership style, and the ability to view testing and commissioning strategy from a high level. Knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts, IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management, and CBTC or ETCS is desirable, as are strong written and verbal communication skills.
