About the Role

• Maintain and monitor Building Automation and Control Systems using graphical interfaces and control programs. • Validate equipment and system alarms and generate work orders in the CMMS for technicians. • Continuously monitor facility systems, primarily via Metasys, to ensure proper operation. • Conduct shift turnover meetings and complete shift reports in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Perform minor HVAC maintenance such as filter changes and greasing. • Receive calls and dispatch personnel to troubleshoot issues. • Cross‑train to monitor and respond to the fire alarm system.

What You Bring

Johnson Controls is looking for a Building Control Systems Operator (BMS Operator) to join its federal team at USAG Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtek, South Korea. The role involves monitoring and operating the building control system in a high‑security command center and requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance within one year. The position includes a housing and subsistence allowance and requires full‑time residence in South Korea. • Active DoD Top Secret (or higher) clearance or recent active clearance within two years. • Knowledge of HVAC principles and proficiency with computers. • Strong written and verbal communication skills; self‑starter with minimal supervision. • Preferred: experience with Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and Metasys. • Preferred: experience creating work orders in a CMMS. • Preferred: HVAC mechanical maintenance and BAS systems experience. • Preferred education: HVAC technical school training, Metasys certification, and fire alarm (Honeywell Notifier) experience.

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $45.00 to $50.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience, with a monthly living‑allowance stipend, housing support, and a car stipend. Employees are eligible for benefits from day one, enjoy three weeks of paid vacation, five sick days, three floating holidays, and ten standard holidays, and work a rotating 24/7/365 schedule with limited travel required.
