About the Role

The Sorter is responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting of materials on the conveyor line, handling items based on type, size, condition, color, or paper grade. • Inspect and sort materials by type, size, condition, color, or paper grade. • Remove contaminants from paper and the work floor. • Stack and dump boxes, skids, and totes as needed. • Feed wastepaper onto the conveyor line. • Clean the conveyor and surrounding sorting area. • Monitor machine startup and maintain proper operating speed. • Follow standard operating procedures for equipment use and maintenance. • Report safety hazards and equipment malfunctions. • Participate in weekly/monthly safety and operations meetings.
