About the Role

• Manage project labor, including craft labor and subcontractors, and coordinate weekly labor reports. • Review and approve craft worker certifications, trainings, timecards, and performance evaluations. • Participate in site orientation, safety meetings, and hire/dismissal processes for craft workers. • Oversee on‑site operations, scope of work, equipment coordination, and schedule development with Project Managers. • Verify quantity takeoffs, material management, and manage production and innovation boards as well as Plan of Day activities. • Support safety audits and quality control for self‑perform and subcontractor work.

What You Bring

Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent responsible for providing coordination and supervision of sub‑contractors and craft team members within a particular construction discipline. Being a local candidate is a plus. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience. • Minimum 3 years of construction management or related experience. • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel up to 100%. • Knowledge of electrical circuitry or willingness to qualify through Mortenson Electrical Managers. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project software, and web applications. • Strong communication, active listening, customer service, and ability to interpret Mortenson policies. • Understanding of construction law, EE​O, inclusive behaviors, and affirmative action plans.

Benefits

The base pay range for this role is $95,700 – $129,200, with higher ranges for certain office locations. Base pay is positioned within the range based on knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, and the position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
