About the Role

The company is hiring a Journeyman Electrician for its Austin, TX battery fleet. The role involves daily field work—pulling wire, opening panels, and troubleshooting—while setting technical standards through hands‑on execution. • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and battery system failures on-site. • Perform rework to ensure installations pass inspection and meet internal quality benchmarks. • Represent the company to inspectors and AHJs, walking installs and resolving issues in real time. • Mentor and train new installation crews to maintain high performance. • Participate in scheduled on‑call rotation to address urgent night/weekend electrical issues. • Apply first‑principles thinking, questioning assumptions over rules. • Operate at Base pace by focusing on priorities, acting quickly, and learning by doing. • Give and get feedback directly, humbly, and with a growth mindset.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a valid Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license and have at least four years of experience with battery backups, EV chargers, or whole‑home generators. The ideal candidate embraces a “fix‑it‑right‑the‑first‑time” mindset and can clearly explain technical concepts to crews, inspectors, and homeowners. • Maintain deep mastery of Base hardware, NEC codes, and general electrical principles. • Hold strong opinions loosely, driving clarity and making decisions with imperfect information.
