About the Role
The role leads Project Management commissions, taking end‑to‑end responsibility for service delivery on large or complex projects. Project sizes typically range from £10 m to £25 m, though advisory engagements can be considerably larger. The Project Manager serves as the day‑to‑day client interface, ensuring delivery meets time, cost, and quality targets. • Provide strategic advice at project inception to achieve client objectives. • Define and maintain project requirements. • Establish success criteria covering time, cost, technical and performance parameters. • Set up effective project governance, processes and systems. • Create and maintain schedules, including the master project plan. • Manage project development against approved plans and targets. • Develop resource plans and procure required resources. • Lead and facilitate cross‑functional project teams. • Apply performance management techniques and KPIs to enhance project performance. • Oversee the change control process. • Develop budgets and monitor forecast versus actual costs. • Coordinate project information flow between team and client through meetings and communications. • Identify, monitor and mitigate project risks. • Produce formal progress reports and other documentation. • Interface with clients, consultants and stakeholders throughout all project stages. • Advise on health, safety and environmental issues and risks. • Manage ongoing quality, safety, health and environmental controls.
