About the Role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment at assigned properties. This role supports the operation of various systems and ensures facilities remain functional and safe. The position may require being the sole maintenance staff on duty during certain shifts, working extended periods without relief, handling priority or emergency situations, and may involve overtime, shift work, or on‑call standby duties. • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC • Clean, lubricate, and service a wide variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems • Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and implement savings opportunities • Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform preventative maintenance • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection equipment • Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and practice safe work habits • Use technology such as smart phones, tablets, computers, web‑based applications, and building automation systems • Complete all required C&W Safety Training as scheduled annually • Comply with C&W Uniform Dress Code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance off‑hours

What You Bring
Physical demands include regular communication with others, operating a computer and office machinery, moving about the workplace, standing for a portion of the time, and extending hands and arms in any direction. The role also involves performing a variety of physical maintenance tasks. • Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance • Technical Proficiency • Multi‑Tasking • Sense of Urgency • High School Diploma or GED equivalent • 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting • Technical, vocational or on‑the‑job training in at least one area: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license (commercial license may be required) and a good driving record • Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word

Compensation ranges from $30.60 to $36.00 per hour and complies with minimum wage requirements; pay may vary based on location, experience, collective bargaining status, and other factors.
