About the Role
As a Project Safety Engineer you will own the development and upkeep of safety cases for the Genset System Business, ensuring designs meet single‑fault tolerance criteria and all certification mandates, with occasional travel up to 20 %. The role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to perform hazard investigations, risk analyses, and to produce comprehensive safety plans that guide the project through each phase of the safety life‑cycle, while acting as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and suppliers. Additional duties include defining technical scope during tendering, reviewing customer specifications, guaranteeing electrical designs adhere to relevant codes, and supporting the execution team in resolving technical challenges on site. • Maintain safety cases that meet single‑fault tolerance and certification standards. • Lead hazard investigations, risk analyses, FMEA and fault‑tree assessments. • Develop project‑specific safety plans and manage each phase of the safety life‑cycle. • Serve as the main contact for regulatory authorities, customers, and suppliers on safety matters. • Provide technical guidance, training and create safety‑related documentation for the project team. • Conduct safety reviews, audits and compile safety reports and compliance declarations. • Define electrical system specifications for genset enclosures and ensure adherence to industry codes. • Work with regional teams to clarify tender specifications, coordinate scope with factories and suppliers.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and possess at least five years of product development experience with gensets, alternators, or electrical panels, together with solid knowledge of safety management systems. Preferred qualifications comprise extensive safety‑engineering experience, familiarity with ISO‑8528, CPCB, OSHA standards, and proficiency with tools such as Safexpert and PTC Integrity. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with ≥5 years product development experience in gensets or related equipment. • Possess safety management system expertise; familiarity with ISO‑8528, CPCB, OSHA/OSH standards; knowledge of Safexpert and PTC Integrity is advantageous. • Ability to travel up to 20 % of the time.
