About the Role

The intern will create electrical drawings for facilities across markets such as water/wastewater, municipal, industrial, power, and federal, covering systems like power distribution, lighting, communications, and security. They will support and coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams and perform basic electrical calculations for layout plans and power one‑line diagrams. Additional duties include assisting Project Engineers, other Electrical EITs, or BIM Specialists as needed. • Create electrical drawings for diverse facility types and systems. • Support and coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams. • Perform basic electrical calculations and develop layout plans and one‑line diagrams. • Assist Project Engineers, Electrical EITs, and BIM Specialists as needed.

What You Bring

Preferred candidates are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate electrical engineering program with at least two years completed toward the degree and a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Proficiency with Revit, related field or office experience, and being a local candidate are also advantageous. All applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and possess solid problem‑solving and communication skills. Basic Microsoft Office proficiency and a commitment to actively participate in HDR’s employee‑owned culture are essential. • Maintain proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, problem‑solving, and communication skills. • Preferred: 2+ years in an EE program with 3.0+ GPA and related office experience.
