About the Role
The manager reviews and approves cost and schedule system outputs, validates baselines, conducts performance measurement, and leads monthly cost forecasting. They also prepare status reports, negotiate change orders and schedule delays, oversee procedure development, and manage estimate production while applying construction contract knowledge. • Lead project controls function on complex projects. • Review and approve cost and schedule system outputs. • Validate project cost‑schedule baseline. • Conduct performance measurement and cost trending. • Produce monthly revised cost forecasts. • Prepare and contribute to monthly status and performance reports. • Analyze performance trends and assess cost impacts. • Use drawings and specifications to establish baseline data. • Apply construction contract knowledge to control systems. • Develop and implement project control procedures. • Negotiate change orders and schedule delay claims weekly. • Manage estimate production aligned with project timelines.

What You Bring
AECOM has an immediate need for an experienced Project Controls Manager in Arlington, VA. The role leads the project controls function on complex projects and adds value to commercial management. Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of construction‑engineering experience, expertise in cost estimating, scheduling, Primavera P6, and the ability to pass a GSA clearance. Preferred qualifications are building‑sector experience, PSP/CCP/PMP certification, and proficiency with PowerBI dashboards. • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. • 6+ years of construction/engineering experience. • Expertise in cost estimating and scheduling. • Proficiency with Primavera P6. • Ability to obtain GSA Government Clearance. • Experience in building‑sector construction (preferred). • PSP, CCP, or PMP certification (preferred). • Experience with PowerBI and dashboard creation (preferred).
