About the Role
The Field Mechanic position operates at multiple locations and may be required to travel to other states based on customer demands. This role supports equipment deployment and service for a regional portfolio. Key responsibilities include managing 70 to 100 pieces of equipment per region, coordinating deployment across cities and states, and performing repairs and maintenance on machinery ranging from large cranes to small chain saws. The mechanic must work safely in various weather conditions, troubleshoot equipment issues, and often operate near energized high‑voltage systems while protecting personal and public safety. Maintaining company vehicles, tools, and other equipment in good working order is also required. • Service and maintain 70–100 pieces of equipment per region. • Deploy equipment across regions, cities, and states. • Perform repairs and maintenance on diverse machinery from cranes to chain saws, safely in all weather. • Troubleshoot equipment issues and work around energized high‑voltage systems. • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition. • Use computer systems for diagnostics, inventory management, and work orders.

What You Bring
Applicants should have 1 to 5 years of mechanical experience, a solid foundation in hydraulics, diesel or gas engines, chassis and suspension, welding, and small‑tool repair, and must be able to obtain a CDL within 60 days of employment. Ownership of a personal set of general tools and proficiency with computer systems for diagnostics, inventory management, and work orders are essential. Certifications such as ASE, Ford, Altec/Telelect, or hydraulic maintenance are considered advantageous. The role demands regular physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting over 50 pounds, and working with hands in inclement weather. Employees are frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise typical of construction sites, and must be prepared to work extended periods and travel long distances on short notice. • Possess 1–5 years of mechanical experience and a background in hydraulics, diesel/gas engines, chassis, welding, and small‑tool repair. • Obtain a CDL within 60 days of hire and own a personal set of general tools. • Ability to lift over 50 lb, travel long distances on short notice, and work extended periods in inclement weather. • Demonstrate self‑motivation, teamwork, and customer focus while adhering to safety policies. • Certifications such as ASE, Ford, Altec/Telelect, or hydraulic maintenance are a plus.
