About the Role
The Gas General Foreman leads a crew to install and repair natural gas pipelines and joint trench utilities, ensuring work is performed safely, accurately, and on schedule. This role oversees crew safety, productivity, and quality, conducts pressure testing, manages documentation, and coordinates with customers, senior management, and other departments. The foreman also supervises the Line team and facilitates daily safety briefings and inspections. • Oversee crew installation of natural gas pipelines using open‑cut or directional drilling methods. • Secure all necessary licenses, permits, and materials for each project. • Ensure work quality, standards, and timeliness for all tasks. • Coordinate daily digging and product placement assignments for crew members. • Manage site entry and call in utilities at each project location. • Conduct daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections. • Complete paperwork promptly and train new hires and trainees. • Track employee hours and submit payroll in a timely manner. • Inspect existing utilities for proper identification, exposure, and compliance with specifications. • Operate or drive equipment to support crew operations. • Maintain job schedule, perform site cleanup, and restore the job site after completion. • Communicate with customers and inspectors regarding project progress and requirements.

What You Bring
The position requires extensive physical activity in field environments, including bending, squatting, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in inclement weather. Employees must maintain clear vision and precise hand‑eye coordination to identify colors and judge distances, meeting all physical demands essential to job performance. • Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, 3 years gas pipeline construction/maintenance experience, 2 years supervisory experience, Class A CDL, OSHA 10 certification. • Preferred qualifications: 5+ years pipeline construction experience, Operator Qualification (OQ), pipe fusion certification, DOT flagger certification, First Aid and CPR certification.
