About the Role
The Elevator Modernization Project Manager leads multiple national elevator modernization projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role coordinates cross‑functional teams, liaises with clients and vendors, and oversees every phase from scope definition to final inspection. The manager is also responsible for contract management, procurement, and thorough documentation throughout the project lifecycle. • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for elevator modernization projects. • Coordinate engineering, field technicians, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution. • Monitor progress and adjust schedules or resources to meet deadlines. • Manage contract activities from RFP through completion, ensuring documents align with project scope. • Serve as primary contact for clients, building owners, and internal stakeholders, providing updates and resolving issues. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes (e.g., ASME A17.1) and conduct site inspections. • Oversee procurement of modernization components and track expenses to stay within budget. • Interpret contractual documents and change orders to assess cost impacts. • Maintain accurate project records, milestones, inspections, and prepare post‑project evaluations.

What You Bring
• 5+ years of elevator industry experience, with at least 3 years in modernization and 2 years in project/portfolio management. • Strong knowledge of elevator systems, modernization processes, and relevant codes such as ASME A17.1. • PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred. • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. • Experience with cost estimating, scheduling, and contract administration. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Proficient in reading blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
