About the Role

The Senior Project Engineer supports field activities and works closely with the Project Manager on project administration, handling multiple small projects or a medium‑to‑large project. This role often serves as the go‑to person and may supervise support functions such as Document Control, QA/QC, scheduling, and cost control. • Submit and approve monthly billings and earned value reports. • Develop and manage critical‑path project schedules for medium‑to‑large or multiple small projects. • Analyze targets, goals, job cost summaries, and related reports. • Collaborate with the Superintendent and Project Manager to optimize project resources. • Review, negotiate, and track change orders. • Manage procurement and provide recommendations to the Project Manager. • Approve field purchase orders for standard packages. • Analyze project financial performance and participate in financial reviews. • Support project engineering and quality initiatives. • Support project safety and risk management. • Oversee work of direct reports. • Ensure a safe work environment. • Participate in training and certification programs. • Customize and modify spreadsheets as needed. • Perform frequent hand‑on tasks; sit, talk, and listen regularly; stand, walk, and reach occasionally.

What You Bring

• Hold a bachelor’s degree with 4 years experience or 8 years construction experience (or equivalent). • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Basic understanding of construction software such as Primavera and Timberline. • Ability to maneuver in and out of job‑site trailers and varied terrain. • Capable of handling objects up to 20 pounds.
