About the Role

You will demonstrate your engineering skills and, by leveraging the firm’s technology‑centric competitive edge, work with design engineers, vendors, contractors, and client personnel to design, test, make operational, optimize, and validate electrical systems in 24 × 7 mission‑critical plants, pharmaceutical, healthcare, power generation, or similar environments. The position requires overseeing testing activities, reviewing design documents, and producing clear field reports to guarantee that electrical systems are commissioned accurately and on schedule. • Develop and coordinate functional testing of multi‑stack equipment and redundant system configurations. • Review specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and related commissioning documentation. • Create and administer pre‑functional checklists and daily field reports. • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments. • Communicate regularly with management and client teams. • Contribute to commissioning reports and develop progress updates. • Conduct field inspections and assist senior engineers with due‑diligence, feasibility, and gap analysis. • Perform functional testing of individual equipment and systems via Facility Grid. • Observe startup activities, manage vendors, and collect and analyze test data. • Identify and resolve problems proactively; troubleshoot low‑level system components. • Apply FMCx standards and utilize Facility Grid tools. • Work overtime and travel as needed to support projects.

We are currently seeking a performance-driven, motivated Commissioning Engineer or Agent II based out of Charlotte, NC. Candidates should possess a solid engineering background, relevant field experience, and professional certifications, enabling them to handle complex commissioning tasks and collaborate effectively with stakeholders. • Commissioning or design experience with large mechanical/electrical systems for industrial, datacenter, pharmaceutical, or clean‑room facilities. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. • Minimum 18 months of hands‑on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of large electrical distribution systems. • Basic understanding of system selection and practical application of LEED principles. • Thorough knowledge of applicable codes; familiarity with ASHRAE, BCxA, PECI Cx, RETRO‑Cx procedures is a plus. • EIT/FE certification required.
