About the Role

• Assist with roadway design tasks using MicroStation and Open Roads. • Produce roadway plans and related design documentation. • Conduct field visits to gather traffic, accident, and other roadway data. • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to assignments. • Revise CAD drawings from engineer mark‑ups, plot drawings, and assemble drawing sets for submittals. • Prepare cost estimates.

What You Bring

Preferred qualifications include at least two years toward a civil‑engineering degree with a 3.0+ GPA, familiarity with AutoCAD, a strong interest in transportation engineering, solid written and verbal communication skills, and a preference for local candidates. Required qualifications are current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, meticulous attention to detail, strong problem‑solving and communication abilities, basic Microsoft Office proficiency, and a commitment to participating actively in HDR’s employee‑owned culture. • Completion of at least two years toward a civil engineering degree with a 3.0+ GPA. • Familiarity with AutoCAD. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program. • Attention to detail. • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills. • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
